ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
Isaac and Alexios Laskaris, the two elder brothers of the first emperor of Nicaea, Theodore I Komnenos Laskaris, played a leading role, possibly in 1224-1225, in an important rebellion against the new emperor of Nicaea, John III Doukas Vatatzes. The rebellion was suppressed towards the late 1224 or early 1225 near Poimanenon. The instigators were blinded, while the rest of those who had participated were killed. |
