Second half of the 12th century: Birth of Theodore Irenikos.
1198: Theodore receives the office of epi tou kanikleiou in the court of Alexios III Angelos.
1204: Theodore seeks refuge in Nicaea. He is tonsured a monk.
1209: Theodore becomes chartophylax of the Constantinople Patriarchate that has been reconstituted in Nicaea, he also receives the title hypatos ton philosophon.
December 25, 1214: Theodore Irenikos ascends to the patriarchal throne.
January 31, 1216: Death of Theodore Irenikos.
